my story

I found yoga at a young age after a family member gave me a "Morning Yoga Routine". I remember feeling energized, awake, and at peace in a way that I had never felt before and have been in love with yoga ever since.

Yoga became a large part of my career as well - using it as a tool to warm up and get connected before class or a performance. It was even a part of my curriculum as a BFA Acting student.

I earned my RYT 200 Hour Certification from Younique Yoga in Cedar Grove and I've been incredibly fortunate to have had immediate opportunities to teach. I got hired right out of teacher training and began teaching 2-3 classes each week. I was then asked to run a kids yoga program each week after teaching Meditation Sensation (40 mins of slow flowing yoga and 20 mins of guided meditation to adults) and I fell in love with it. The energy and excitement of children mixed with the connection to mind and body at such a young age filled me with so much happiness that I knew I had to continue following this path. I then got Kidding Around Yoga certified.

Since relocating to NYC, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to run an after school yoga program at an elementary school. Each day I teach 3 classes and work with kids from ages 5-12 and it's the highlight of my week.

Very few things fill me with joy the way that sharing yoga, as an instructor and as an eternal student, does.  I hope to continue to bring those same things I found as a little girl to the mat every class as I share the power of yoga with my students of all ages. I stand by the principle that yoga can be for everybody and we can all benefit from practicing the mind & body connection to achieve true, actual presence of each moment.
