Collegiate Senior Investigative Journalism major Lucy takes matters into her own hands when she decides to hunt the serial killer terrorizing women on her college campus, while processing her own recent sexual assault.

This film examines the statistic, "1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted or raped during her time in college" through a complex, real female protagonist and invites audiences to bring this topic into the light to inspire real change.

Our film takes horror movie tropes and flips them inside out through a protagonist who is as likable as she is flawed, subverting audience expectations to prove why the 'perfect victim' doesn't exist.

Lucy Is A Good Girl is a woman-led revenge mystery/thriller with splashes of horror, that pays homage to the iconic thrillers/slashers of the 80s & 90s but through a modern perspective. While films like Halloween, Friday the 13th, the original Scream, and much more, have inspired horror films and all their subgenres, we would like to tell our story with a bit of a different approach, specifically when it comes to showing violence against women.

There are plenty of films that show gratuitous violence against women, but our film will NOT be doing that. Instead, we take an artistic approach where the audience's minds will fill in the blanks. Cutter's attacks will always be left just out of view. The only on-screen violence against a woman will be at the end, when she is in more of a position of power and engaged in a fight, rather than an attack.
